Mutashabihatare the near-identical ayat that recur across the Qur’an — same opening, slightly different ending; same phrase, swapped word order; the same construction in two different surahs. Every hafiz knows the feeling: you’re reciting smoothly, you hit one of these passages, and your tongue takes the wrong fork.
Generic Qur’an apps don’t address this. They show you ayat, play recitations, track pages read. None of that is calibration. Calibration means knowing the exact pairs that confuse youand drilling them until they don’t.
Muhkam is a precision tool, not a memorization app. It assumes you already have hifz and helps you sharpen the joints that wobble. The time you spend on it goes directly to the parts of your hifz that need it — nothing else.
Complete the ayah, pick the next ayah, identify the surah, and spot the difference between near-identical passages. Every question is built around a real mutashabihat cluster.
Standard spaced repetition only tracks what you got wrong. Muhkam tracks which specific distractor you picked, so the same pair comes back — in a different question shape — until you can’t miss it.
Your dashboard surfaces the exact pairs you confuse, in priority order. Sessions are short and focused on the ayat that need work today, not the ones you already own.
Daily muraja’ah without slogging through full surahs. Muhkam puts your minutes where the slips are and leaves the rest of your hifz alone.
You’re close to completing memorization and the mutashabihat are already showing up. Calibrate now and finish strong rather than carrying confusions into your final juz.
Not for absolute beginners. Muhkam assumes you’ve already memorized the parts you’re training. If you’re starting hifz from scratch, come back when you’re a bit further along.
I’m Mohamed, a hafiz building Muhkam from New Zealand. Muraja’ah is hard work, and the parts that wobble are usually the same handful of mutashabihat that catch every hafiz. I’m building the tool I wish I had — a precision trainer that learns your specific weak spots and drills them until they aren’t weak anymore.
